PABLO Y MAYAYA

Master hatters

After studying fashion design together in Valladolid and Italy, Pablo Merino and Mayaya Cebrián decide to take a millinery course, the fascination of which unites them in the profession of their lives. In 1990 they founded their hat workshop, using traditional methods, but adapting them to a new contemporary craft. About to complete thirty years of extensive career with participation in catwalks and national and international fairs, exhibitions, presence in all media in the fashion sector and with numerous points of sale, they continue with the same artisanal methodology with which their workshop was born.

Among his achievements, the 2009 National Crafts Award for the best artisan product stands out, having walked in the Madrid Fashion Week and 080 Barcelona Fashion, among other catwalks, and different appearances in film and theater. In addition, they have to their credit the design of the first hat that protocol forced the then Princess Letizia to wear in 2011, who has used other models from the firm on different occasions.
